Since 2020, I’ve been setting personal yearly goals and following Meta ruthless performance cycle (PSC) approach—basically, I rate myself on how I’m doing against those goals each quarter. I’ve found that having clear goals and regular check-ins really helps me stay focused and grow personally.
2024 Goals
- Exercise at least twice a week
Result: Exceeded Expectations.
With a mix of running, cycling, and weightlifting, I managed to average about 75 minutes of exercise per week. I didn’t skip a single week, even when traveling or during busy work weeks. - Continue learning Spanish on Duolingo
Result: Met Expectations.
I kept up my Spanish practice slowly but steadily. When traveling to Spanish-speaking countries, I was able to hold simple conversations—though I’m still not quite at the level of having long or in-depth discussions. - Read at least one book per month
Result: Meet Most.
I ended up reading seven books (with one abandoned halfway). Reading is incredibly fulfilling and offers new perspectives, but I struggled with discipline—I often chose TV shows or daydreaming over reading. I’m still searching for a solid system to keep me on track.
2025 Goals
- Exercise at least three times a week
- Write a blog post at least twice per month
- Read at least one book per month (second attempt)
I’m excited to see how these new goals shape my year. Here’s to continuous growth and staying focused in 2025!
Happy New Year!
